Polyanionic Cellulose

PAC HV and PAC LV

Oil and Gas Field, Mining and HDD Applications

PAC is a water-soluble polymer produced only from cellulose chemically reacted with carboxy-methyl (anionic) groups. The product obtained is further purified to significantly increase the active polymer content. It’s widely used in oil and gas field industry for applications of fluid loss control, viscosity and shale inhibition. PAC typically provide higher degree of substitution and purity as comparing with CMC products. The product is a freeflowing and/or granular powder.

Applications

Functions

Oil and Gas Field Driling

Performs as a filtration control agent, viscosifier, and shale inhibitor in water-based mud such as freshwater, seawater, and saturated brine system.

Mining Drilling

Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD)

Act as a filtration control agent; Along with bentonite, it also improves lubricity and helps to prevent bit balling; Used in more coarse-grained soils.

Mining Processing

Functions as a granular binder in the iron-ore pelletization process and flotation inhibitor in the flotation process.

Hydroxyethyl cellulose, Vis-HE, Industrial Grade

Ethylcellulose (HEC) is a white or light yellow, odorless, non-toxic fibrous or powdery solid, prepared by etherification of basic cellulose and ethylene oxide (or chloroethanol) Ionic soluble cellulose ethers.

Cellulose Gum, Vis-CT, Industrial Grade

Cellulose Gum (Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose) is a high purity, fine cellulose ether. It is widely used in food products and performs as multifunctional additive such as thickener, stabilizer, blinder, water retention agent and film formation agent.
