Cellulose Gum (Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose) is a highly purified cellulose ether acting as a multifunctional additive such as thickener, stabilizer, blinder, water retention agent, and film formation agent.
Curdlan is a water-insoluble linear beta-1,3-glucan, a high-molecular-weight polymer of glucose. It functions as a gelling agent in products such as hairdressing. Along with other hydrocolloids in thickening compositions, it provides good skin feeling and non-stickiness performance to cosmetic products.
Gellan gum is a water-soluble anionic polysaccharide. It acts as an emulsion stabilizer by preventing the separation of oil and water in products like shampoos, body washes, sprayable sunscreens, etc. It also functions as a suspending agent by stabilizing the emulsion and keeping it uniform against temperature fluctuations in cosmetic formulations.
Xanthan Gum, derived from fermentation of carbohydrates, is one of the most commonly used polysaccharides. It function as a binder, emulsion stabilizer, skin-conditioning agent, surfactant, or viscosity agent in bath products, makeup, skin and hair care products, toothpaste, etc.
